EMEA technology teams gathered both virtually and in-person in the London Office to participate in a series of conversations and events exploring the evolution of Millennium in the region and priorities for the future.
Among these events was a fireside chat with Pranat Pathak, Chief Information Officer, EMEA, and Global Head of Fixed Income, Commodities and Risk Technology; and Paolo Aloe, Global Head of Operations, Middle Office and Corporate Technology. When speaking to the firm’s technology growth strategy, Paolo Aloe noted, “we go to where the talent is,” adding, “we’ve been successful at finding talent across the EMEA region, including but not limited to Dublin, Tel Aviv and London.”
An EMEA Tech Leadership panel also featured some of the firm’s tech leaders discussing trends in technology and trading, technology at Millennium and their respective careers. Nat Cherry, Head of EMEA Equities Technology, explained that “we are constantly learning and evolving how we work to stay ahead of the needs of the business.” When it comes to driving growth in the EMEA region, “nimbleness is key to our success,” he added.
Employees also took part in “MicroTalks” with other tech stakeholders and employees across the firm, as well as a networking social hour.
