Given your experience across the intersection of finance and technology, what initially led you to Millennium?

I started my career on the sell-side, and while that experience was a great training ground, I wanted to leverage my skillset to make a greater impact. Millennium’s scale provides the opportunity to work on interesting challenges globally at the intersection of technology, math and finance.

How did your time at IIT Kharagpur prepare you for a career at Millennium?

I joined Millennium to help build the Commodities Quant Research team in India. Our team helps build the technology tools portfolio managers use to make informed decisions.

IIT Kharagpur provided me with a robust, multidisciplinary foundation in engineering, technology and mathematics. This multidisciplinary approach equipped me with the analytical skills and problem-solving mindset essential for tackling the complex challenges our team works on every day.

How has your time at Millennium been different than the other firms you’ve worked for?

One of the main differences is Millennium’s agility and approach to technology. Millennium provides access to cutting-edge technology, and gives us the ability to apply innovative techniques to challenges both new and old.

How has Millennium enabled you to continue to grow?

At Millennium, the range of opportunities and the ability to apply cutting-edge technology and innovative techniques creates a strong culture of continuous learning. There are always new opportunities to expand my skills, learn from my teammates, and make significant contributions in my domain.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career?

Embrace continuous learning, take initiative in your role and always stay committed to your goals.
