In this latest mChats episode, meet Karyn Geringer, Millennium’s Head of Capital Development, Americas. She speaks about how her interest in finance and relationship building led her to Millennium.
What brought you to Millennium?
The people intrigued me from the start. Despite the firm’s success, no one at Millennium rests on their laurels. They are intellectually curious and want to build on their success. I wanted to be a part of that.
Tell me more about your role?
As Head of Capital Development, Americas, I am responsible for building and developing new and existing institutional investor relationships for the firm. The role is fast-paced and keeps me on my toes.
What career advice would you give to the younger generation?
Keep an open mind when it comes to new experiences. I graduated from the Naval Academy and began my career as a Naval Intelligence Officer. Moving into a new industry was daunting, but I found the perfect role for me by pursuing my interest in finance and relationship building, and I have never looked back.
What brings you joy outside of work?
As a mom of teenage triplets who are embarking on the college application process, it is rewarding to watch them harness their individual passions. Sometimes they even ask for my advice…although it’s rare!
