The MLPride Network recently hosted a volunteer event at our NYC headquarters in support of the Brooklyn Community Pride Center’s Pride Pantry.
The Brooklyn Community Pride Center is committed to supporting one of the largest and most diverse LGBTQ+ communities in the U.S. through socially-conscious and culturally-responsive programming and advocacy work in NYC. The Pride Pantry, located at the center’s facility in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, offers essential items to community members facing homelessness and housing insecurity.
Volunteers prepared care kits and snack packs with hygiene essentials and non-perishable foods for the center’s Pride Pantry.
During the event, volunteers were also able to learn about the center’s mission, partnerships and events in an information session led by Omari Scott, Brooklyn Community Pride Center Director of Development & Communications.
