Patrick McHenry

Patrick McHenry is former Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District, which he served as for 20 years.

Prior to his election as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee in the 118th Congress (2021-2023), Patrick served as Republican Leader of the Committee and also as Vice Chairman. Before this, Patrick served as Chief Deputy Whip and as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee’s Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, providing oversight of the Federal Reserve, Treasury Department, Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal financial regulators. He was also previously a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Prior to being elected to Congress in 2004, Patrick represented the 109th district in the North Carolina House of Representatives. He also was appointed by President George W. Bush as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
