Santoro
Pete Santoro is Global Co-Head of Equities and a member of the firm's Senior Management team. He is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the firm’s equity portfolio managers and teams globally, including fundamental, volatility, convertible bond arbitrage and event driven equities strategies. For these strategies, Pete is responsible for portfolio manager selection, capital allocation, evaluation of transactions and risk exceptions, and management of the global firmwide equity aggregated risk. He has over 30 years of experience in trading and risk management.
Prior to joining Millennium in 2017, Pete spent seven years at Morgan Stanley, most recently as Global Head of Equity Trading, where he was responsible for leading the equity business. Prior to this role, he served as Head of Equities Trading for the Americas. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he held various trading and leadership roles at Citadel, Citi and Knight Trading Group across equities, equity derivatives, execution services, electronic trading, and statistical arbitrage. He began his career at Swiss Bank Corporation, where he held several positions in trading currency options around the globe. He currently serves on the Blair Academy Board of Trustees.
Pete received a BS in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
